Bracket modification
« on: March 27, 2008, 11:24:51 PM »
I have plenty of height on the wall for the awning to be installed (about 8 feet), however for a 2 foot section at the end of the awning there is only a 5 inch space between the door frame and a window. I was considering getting an extra bracket to beef up the support in the area where there is no window and then modifying one bracket (machine it down 2 inches with a recess for the lag screw head) to support the awning end. Does this sound like an acceptable solution?

If you don't have enough room between the soffit and the window and door you need to go with the Soffit Mount Brackets.
Dan what size awning are you considering? Also could you send me a picture of were its going to go?
